Our Malagasy partner company PREMIUM SPICES has been strengthening local smallholders for 20 years by buying up a large part of the harvest and supporting them with processing, quality control, export and certification. The cooperatives rely on climate-resilient cultivation methods for vanilla, spices and cocoa, which are grown in mixed cultivation and to a large extent in agroforestry systems. PRONATEC has been a loyal partner since the beginning. We are delighted to support the children of KOMAM’s vanilla and clove producers in the north-east of the country with our 2024 Christmas donation.

With our 2024 Christmas donation, we are supporting the expansion of the primary school building in Ambohimitsinjo in north-east Madagascar. The local ‘École primaire publique’ was founded in 1979 and the current school building was opened in 1985. Today, five teachers teach 104 children (56 boys and 48 girls) aged 7 to 11 in five classes. The expansion of the public primary school benefits not only the families of the vanilla and clove producers, but also other families and children in the region.
