Our natural organic fair trade cocoa butter, Made in Switzerland, is produced with extra care at our exclusively organic cocoa processing plant. The cocoa comes from different countries of origin, but we use organic cocoa beans mainly from the Dominican Republic.
Our cocoa butter for the food and cosmetics industries has the ideal characteristics for industrial processing, for example for making chocolates or pralines. It is available as deodorised organic cocoa butter with a neutral flavour or as natural (plain or unrefined) organic cocoa butter with a delicate hint of cocoa. Because we only process organic cocoa beans, there is no possibility of them being mixed with conventional beans. That means our cocoa butter is guaranteed free from harmful substances, making it ideal for premium-quality chocolate or food and a valuable ingredient in natural cosmetics.

What makes good cocoa butter?
Premium-quality cocoa butter for the chocolate, food or cosmetics industry is characterised by low FFA values (fewer free fatty acids) and excellent crystallisation. Low FFA values make the cocoa butter long-lasting and stable during storage, while the crystallisation characteristics are particularly important during further processing for chocolate-making.
Tolling – producing cocoa mass under contract

Careful deodorisation makes for flavour-neutral organic cocoa butter
Thanks to gentle deodorisation without the use of pressure or additives, our organic cocoa butter has the ideal characteristics for processing in the chocolate or cosmetics industries. Its low FFA values of less than 1.75%, make it extremely stable and long-lasting.

Organic cocoa butter that is ideal for chocolate-makers
At our organic cocoa processing plant, we take care to handle the fatty acids in the butter carefully, so as to achieve the best possible crystallisation behaviour in the cocoa butter. This is vital when making top-quality chocolates or pralines. The outstanding quality of our cocoa butter is reflected in a high BCI value (Bühler Crystallisation Index) and a good refractive index.
Traceable cocoa butter is also the ideal ingredient for cosmetics producers
More and more consumers are looking for beauty products that are not only sustainable but also traceable. Our certified cocoa butter that is 100% traceable back to the smallholders is our response to that trend. So it is also aimed at the manufacturers of natural cosmetics, for whom traceable ingredients free from harmful substances are a high priority.

Organic cocoa butter specifications: deodorised or natural
Our cocoa butter is available either deodorised or natural. The deodorised cocoa butter is neutral in flavour so it has no effect on the taste of the chocolate. The unrefined cocoa butter still has the typical aroma of cocoa and is suitable for natural specialities such as white chocolate or cosmetics with a moderate aroma profile. Special single-origin cocoa butter using cocoa beans from a specific country of origin is available on request
Fairtrade cocoa butter and other labels
Our “Made in Switzerland” cocoa butter is available with a range of organic and fair trade certifications. Demand from the market is showing a trend towards stricter labels such as FLO Fairtrade cocoa butters with full physical traceability. With our products, we are meeting that need and offer combinations of various labels, which also include Naturland, Fair for Life, Bio Suisse, EU Bio, NOP/USDA, Rainforest Alliance, Halal and Kosher. Furthermore, we offer toll processing services for cocoa which has been certified accordingly, meaning we process our customers’ own cocoa beans complying with these certifications as well as Demeter (toll processing or contract processing).

Before our cocoa butter is dispatched, its physical and sensory characteristics are checked by our in-house laboratory. Only products that meet our high quality standards and the parameters stated in the specifications are approved for delivery.

Our “SECURE liquid delivery” offer gives you the security of knowing that the cocoa butter is guaranteed to meet your requirements upon receipt. Our tank farm for liquid cocoa butter gives us a sufficient time window to analyse the products in detail before delivery.

We believe in buying our organic and fair trade cocoa beans for the food industry directly from smallholder organisations wherever possible, eliminating the need for intermediaries.
